Agile Test Engineer - Contract

Job Title Agile Test Engineer (Contractor) - 6 months

Our client is investing heavily to improve the customer experience across all its digital platforms together with upgrading the technology stack utilising best of breed technology.

You will be joining a new and growing digital team and as a Agile Tester you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality and secure API Services.

You will be expected to understand and follow best practices in test automation, continuous integration, BDD and TDD and have experience with scripting automated API tests. We are also looking for an enthusiasm for learning new skills and helping us to improve our working practices in an agile environment.

Tech stack

• Jasmine, Selenium WebDriver
• Node.js, NPM, Express
• MongoDB, Mongoose, MySQL
• Git, understanding/experience with Git Flow
• JIRA
• APIary, API Blueprint, Dredd
• Continuous Integration ( CircleCI or similar, code ship, travis)
• Experience with OAuth, Identity as a Service (Iaas) desirable
• Cloud experience desirable (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)

What you’ll be doing
Work in a small and highly focused Agile development team that collaborate, share, learn and work within agile best practice processes.

Ensuring the high quality output of working, potentially shippable deliverables at the end of each sprint.

Implementing BDD and TDD best practices.

Designing and implementing automated integration tests and automated regression tests.

Performing manual system and regression testing in all environments.
