Description

Provide domestic and administrative support to a busy executive, with travel and flexibility as an integral part of the role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Domestic duties including meal preparation, laundry, clothing care, car valeting and errand running
• Administrative support with journey planning, travel assistance and the movement of firearms (dealing with licences and visas etc.)
• Domestic and international travel assistance, including driving duties, chauffeuring, food & personal shopping, preparation & cooking of meals for Chairman and guests and acting as a travel companion, also travelling ahead with a vehicle in some instances and collecting Chairman and guests from airports, train stations etc
• The physical safe movement and transportation of firearms both within the UK and abroad
Generic Duties

• Maintain very high levels of housekeeping, clothing & shoes for the Chairman.
Travelling abroad for periods of time with the Chief Executive.
• Running errands in London and abroad.

Core Competencies

• The employing individual has a great deal of respect for the Military and Ghurkas and feels this would be a particularly suitable role for an ex-Ghurka or ex-Serviceman with a background in Steward/Batman or Catering within the services
• Flexible and adaptable
• Willingness and ability to follow instructions
• Independent and self-starting – uses initiative
• Good organisation and planning skills
• Previous experience in handling firearms a distinct advantage

Person
• The candidate needs to be within easy commutable distance of London SW3 (5 min walk for South Kensington tube station)
• An excellent standard of personal care and appearance
• Excellent command of English
• A good knowledge of driving and locations within London, the UK and Europe
• Punctual, friendly and trustworthy
• To have a good understanding of privacy and professionalism given the domestic/personal environment of the role
• Sense of humour and maturity to understand appropriateness

Location
• London based (SW3) between domestic residence and office facilities
• Regular travel within the UK to Derbyshire
• Travel to Europe and further afield for planned, accompanied trips

Hours of Work
• Core hours Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm, with flexibility out of hours as required
• 35 hours per week
