HGV Driver - C+E drivers (class 1) - Ex-Military Personnel
Location: Warrington
Working for one of the leading companies in the UK.
Responsibility for efficient transportation and delivery of products to customers using a commercial motor vehicle meeting company, customer and legislative requirements.
General Accountabilities:

Transportation and delivery of chilled, frozen and ambient products to supermarket stores across the United Kingdom

Manual handling and operating Mechanical Handling Equipment

Working alongside and within a team environment

Representing client in a professional manner to customers

Responsible for ensuring always working in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety and food regulations
-
Working to and complying with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedures
-
Working within a continuously changing environment
-
Proactively report on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and measure and report on performance against these standards

Working within a physically demanding environment
Qualifications:
-
Valid Driver's HGV (C+E) license
-
Driver's CPC
-
Tachograph
Specific Skills/Experience required for role:
-
Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles; artics and rigids

Good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom

Sound knowledge of tachograph regulations and WTD
-
Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions

Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
-
Ability to adhere to procedures and safe systems of work

Ability to carry out manual handling and all other requirements of the role
Other Requirements:

Drivers CPC Qualification and Driver's Digital Tachograph Card

Flexibility with regards to working patterns

Ability to work efficiently within a rapidly changing environment
Deliveries are made using Tail Lifts to stores on a variety of vehicle sizes. We are looking for class C+E drivers (class 1)
