Job Title: IT Service Manager - Germany (m/f)

Location: Germany (M/F)

Salary: €100,000 - €108,000 per annum

To support our global Information System & Services (ISS) Team 

 

This role is crucial to establishing ISS alignment and partnership with the firm, regionally. Working with the business and the ISS function managers to agree how, and to what level, services are provided and ensuring this is achieved, helping to maintain a focus on business goals and negotiating priorities, needs and requirements. The individual will be located in Frankfurt.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the provision of effective desk side support for all offices within the German region, currently 4 offices with one team leader managing a combination of permanent and contracted resources
  • Owning the day to day relationship with the firms local user base ensuring effective communication of key changes to the production environment along with the senior point of escalation for user issues
  • Global and local budgetary management
  • Effective management of demand and prioritisation of resources and services on behalf of the lawyers in the offices and region
  • Effective and efficient supplier and resource management for local support managed and outsourced services
  • Owning and implementing regional strategies which are in line with firm wide strategy

 

Skills/Experience/Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor/Master of Business Informatics/ of Business and Economic Science (or an other suitable/similar degree/or equivalent)
  • Significant experience working within the IT Support of a global, service-orientated organization
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Experience of industry best practice with a broad awareness of current and future technology plans and possibilities
  • Strong leader who can motivate Direct & Indirect staff/teams with extensive experience in team management
  • High level of business awareness and commercial acumen
  • Collaborative skills
  • German and English language (fluently written and spoken)
  • Must be willing to travel on a frequent basis
