Master Data Analyst

Well known organisation in the FMCG space is looking for an SAP focused Master Data Analyst to join their current team.

The Master Data Analyst will perform a key function within the business ensuring timely and accurate data maintenance within a controlled Data Governance framework spanning create, change, inactivate and data profiling and modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily requests to create, review, validate and maintain master data along with any associated hierarchies in SAP, and other related internal systems
  • Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and/or enhancements to the systems that contain / generate master data
  • Perform ongoing data maintenance and cleansing activities to ensure all applications and systems contain quality and business relevant data
  • Work closely with the business/IT/Project teams to ensure alignment of master data rules and that the operations of application(s) meet all requirements
  • Create and/or maintain documentation and Data Dictionary with new or updated learnings to continue to grow the knowledge base and support data profiling
  • Regularly update managers and project teams with progress reports and dashboards
  • Participate in project activities, testing, implementation and education to business users

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role within an FMCG organisation with a focus on SAP
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)
  • Experience within FMCG food or beverage sector is essential
  • Good knowledge of business and manufacturing processes
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Warehousing / Storage Location data (SAP EWM module experience desirable)
  • Awareness of Master Data management best practise methodologies
  • Project Management methodologies.
