Your position will be for the Operation’s Manager for one of the UK’s most dynamic award winning business delivering sustainable solutions for the design, building and maintenance of the UK’s transport infrastructure ensuring that the Processes operate efficiently within cost, productivity, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment targets.
Main Activities:
• To assist the Associate Director to prepare the annual revenue budgets
• To Develop the Retread, Repave and Deep Recycling Businesses through close liaison with the customers
• To ensure all work is carried out to Company Safety, Environment and Quality standards
• To carry out the minimum number of Safety Audits as laid down by line management
• To understand and comply with the COSHH regulations
• To assist is Risk Assessment Studies on the Processes they are involved with
• To ensure that all sites are properly programmed and resourced
• To motivate staff and labour
• To assist in debt collection when required
• To ensure Quality Assurance and Contracting procedures are understood and followed
• To monitor remedial works and identify and eliminate causes of failure
• To carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager.
• To ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.
Skills & Qualifications required:
• Excellent customer relations
• High degree of commercial awareness
• Good understanding of the financial aspects of contracts management
• Able to plan ahead
• Good people management skills
• Good understanding of Supply-chain issues
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Technical/Engineering background or formal qualification
• Operational Experience of Road Surfacing
• Operational experience in a managerial capacity in Highways contracting, preferably including Surface Treatments
