We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor for one of the UK’s most dynamic award winning business delivering sustainable solutions for the design, building and maintenance of the UK’s transport infrastructure ensuring that the Processes operate efficiently within cost, productivity, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment targets.

We are now recruiting for a motivated individual to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor in areas across the UK. As part of your role, you will be responsible for various duties that will maintain the company’s innovative service offering by occasionally working within different business units in different locations.

Main Activities:

• Liaise with the commercial team and senior members of management across the organisation to provide support on daily tasks and long-term projects
• Review contracts with operational staff to highlight shortfalls and cost overruns
• Ensure effective financial and commercial management practices are used in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
• Liaise with the site management teams in the preparation of Early Warning Notices/Compensation Events, for both submission and internal reporting
• Accurate and timely preparation of Applications for Payment and Invoice, including the compilation of all supporting information, including the preparation of periodic measures and valuations
• Preparation of monthly valuation reports and cost value reconciliations
• Support operational teams to ensure that contractual obligations are met in relation to noticing and submission of Early Warning Notices/Compensation Events to protect entitlement
• Develop and maintain long term relationships with external parties and stakeholders
• Subcontract management within projects, including sub-contract payments and liabilities
• Collaborate with departments within the business to ensure that our commercial activities and approaches are cohesive
• Support the company's ethos and mission by carrying out all duties to a high standard
• Enhance the effectiveness of the commercial service through focused performance indicators
• Support the monitoring and implementation of internal practices and procedures
• Record and log key commercial and contractual documentation
• Assist in the financial and commercial management of projects
• Demonstrable experience and qualifications related to the post
