The role of Senior Technical Specialist Engineer – Networking will be a key position within the Group Technology, team in Leeds.
An operational role, focusing on technical analysis and timely resolution, providing technical skills to resolve all service issues within agreed Service Level Agreements, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained. The Specialist Engineer will ensure that the customer infrastructures are understood, and provide support to further enhance stability, making changes to the infrastructure using agreed business processes and best practice. The role requires a specialist knowledge in one or more of the technologies listed under the technical competencies
As Senior Technical Specialist Engineer –Networking your main responsibilities will involve:

Delivery of Specialist technical support during core hours and via on-call rota for managed network devices across multiple client environments

Early-life support of new solutions and customer on-boarding activities

Planning, assessment and implementation of complex change requests

Define and embed consistent operational processes to support on-going activities, driving improvements where issues are identified. Subject matter expert during Product Development

Lead incident resolution matrix teams to restore service in complex cross-technology environments. Determining root cause.

As Senior Technical Specialist Engineer –Networking your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Demonstrable experience in supporting large, complex Networks and Hosting Estates using multiple technologies

Significant specialist experience of
-
F5 Global/Local Traffic Manager (GTM/LTM)
-
Bluecoat Proxy SG/AV
-
Demonstrable experience supporting:
-
Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches
-
Cisco ASA and Checkpoint firewall
-
F5 Application Security Manager (ASM)
-
Strong analytical and documentation skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
-
Professional level certification from industry recognised programme e.g. F5 CTS, CCNA, CCSA

ITIL V3 awareness
-
SC clearance capable
