Job Title: Storage/Backup Consultant
Required: 5 days per week reporting to Principal Lead Consultant
Location: Onsite work, Mainly at Farnborough & Corsham
Duration: 6 month Contract
The role requires an experienced level 3/4 engineer with previous experience of working with NetApp SnapCenter, SnapVault and NDMP.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of a virtual machine backup solution using these components and must be capable of producing the design documentation to support the solution to the customer's high standards.
Working as part of an on site project team, deploying a multi-site solution, you will require good communication skills to articulate the solution to the customer, as well as architects and engineers working on peer workstreams, such as virtualisation and automation.
Required skills : NetApp Snapcenter, SnapVault, NDMP. The ability to produce high quality design documentation.
Desirable skills: In addition to the above you will need an understanding of VMware in order to integrate the solution and NetApp ONTAP (v9.x). Experience with Veritas Backup Exec or similar will also be advantageous.
Essential Skills: Netapp ONTAP 9.0, SnapCentre 3, NDMP
Highly desirable: SC Clearance preferable, Backup Exec NetApp integration
