PURPOSE STATEMENT
SAP IT Project Manager responsible for the delivery of an automated third party warehouse management integration project.
Accountabilities
Define and manage the detailed IT plan for the integration to the third party logistics provider
Work with system environment manager to ensure alignment with other projects for system availability
Define the key milestones and critical path for the IT project activities
Understand the key dependencies between the IT build and the build of the new warehouse
Work with the business on the integrated plan for the build of the new warehouse including the infrastructure requirements
Work with the third party logistics provider to develop a robust plan
Manage and escalate issues as they occur
Manage the activities of the development resource as appropriate to monitor progress and ensure that tasks are completed on time
Define clear ownership, responsibilities and deadlines for the Test and Cutover tasks including test preparation tasks, development of test scripts for integration testing, development of test scripts for User Acceptance Testing, issues resolution and regression testing.
Develop and manage the detailed Cutover plan to achieve a smooth transition for the business and minimal problems for the Business on Go Live
Ensure smooth handover to the support organisation
Skills
Proven ability to lead and manage a team across multiple locations
Project Management experience
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
SAP Logistics configuration knowledge including configuration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a range of contacts, especially the Business Team and the Competency Centre.
Willingness to be hands on to ensure the timely delivery of the project
