Armed forces and redundancy: BFBS special programme

If you are or have been a member of the Armed forces, you will no doubt have heard about BFBS; the British Forces Broadcast Services, whose aim is to be the preferred provider of entertainment and information to Service personnel and their families worldwide. The work of BFBS makes a massive difference to the morale of the Armed forces, and their work within the forces helps connect military families across the world.

Following the Tranche 1 redundancy announcement that has recently been made, BFBS are now looking for members of the Royal Navy and Army who have been affected by this, for a special programme on the subject. If you or anyone you know have been made redundant as a result of the Tranche 1, and are willing to talk about how it has affected you, from budgeting, to paying rent, to maintaining relationships, then BFBS want to hear from you. What support did you receive, and are you still getting help when you need it?

If you are interested in taking part, or have any further questions about the programme, please email Mary Wilton at maryw@bfbs.com by the end of September.
