A British soldier has been confined to barracks in Kenya for more than seven months after an incident in which a civilian was shot and killed.
The soldier was on duty during a training exercise with some of the 10,000 British military personnel who train in Kenya every year.
The two governments disagree over who should have jurisdiction in the case. There is concern that the row could put the military relationship between the UK and Kenya under strain.
